The season has kicked off in fine style with Murchison holding their annual tournament on the weekend of July 11th and 12th. Results for this and all other upcoming tournaments will be updated the following week. Next up is Greenough on July 25th and 26th at which we are expecting quite a few teams once again. With State Team Selections back on this year for the 2010 Australian National Championships there should be some pretty hard and fast Polocrosse played throughout the season! Foothills Club have started their 2009 Season campaign well with a big win at Murchison, hopefully this will set the trend for the remainder of the year! Don’t forget to keep checking back in to the website to find out more news and results as they happen and of course information on our MASSIVE Tournament which will be held on Oct 31st and Nov 1st. With an under lights State of Origin Match between WA vs The Rest of The World and many other fantastic inclusions and prizes start making plans to attend this HUGE event!! |

The weekend of the first Foothills green horse carnival started warm and windy but it did not deter 18 teams from participating. Players and horses of all ages braved the wind and provided some very entertaining polocrosse across Saturday and Sunday. The was plenty of other action as well with a Show Jumping and Hack event in action just beyond the trees!! The prizes for the High Achiever Awards sponsored by The Chaff Company, Stanbee Stockfeeds and The Australian Stockman's Saddlery were won by: E Grade: Jenny Duncan D Grade: Greg Rodwell C Grade: Andrew Penley B Grade: Tim Tresize A Grade: Jeff Martin All these winners were choosen by the umpires as someone who helped and encouraged other players and horses promoting the intention of the green horse carnival, presented themselves in a neat and tidy manner and were a good horse and rider combination. Well done to all the worthy winners. |
